Abstract

This article presents the monographic issue Sujeto literario y sociabilidad: imprenta y lectura (s. XVII-XVIII) (‘Literary Subject and Sociability: Reading and the Printing Press, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries’), in which we study the mediating role of the printing press in the constitution of the modern literary subject. We explore the concepts of professionalization of the modern autor, editorial planification, and literary sociability networks.
