Abstract

This paper analyzes the configuration of Cordovan doctor Enrique Vaca de Alfaro’s authorial profile from the perspective of the Sociology of Texts, as proposed by McKenzie. A series of bibliographic data obtained from the author's printed works is used to define the socioliterary relations of the author with his environment. A methodological model, based on bibliography is proposed to interpret the position of the author within the socioliterary field of Cordoba in the seventeenth century.
