Abstract

This article offers a summary of studies on Baltasar Elisio de Medinilla carried out to date, and suggests some directions for future research that have not yet been explored, in particular Medinilla’s relationship to his mentor, Lope de Vega. In addition, the article also presents a set of unpublished poems by Medinilla.
