Abstract

Presentation of de Góngora as a precocious poet whose fame was based, since quite early, on the satirical and burlesque genres, to the extent that any other, more noble, genres he attempted seemed alien to his spirit. In particular, we examine his rivalry with important poets of the time, such as  Lope de Vega and Jáuregui, who felt for him an admiration flavored with resentment, to which Góngora replied with low intensity attacks, some of which are of dubious authorship.
