Abstract

In the early 1620s, Lope de Vega was at the height of his fame, but he was also the subject of significant literary attacks. With the publication of La Filomena (1621) he begins a series of publications aimed at self-promotion and in which the dispositio of the various compositions plays an important role in his strategy. The group of poetic epistles collected in the work is a good example of this.
